I’ve had this problem since the World of Warcraft 2.3 patch: if I go to the Buyback tab of a vendor, I can only sell single items back via drag and drop. Multiple items won’t “take.” To get around this, I’ve been splitting the items into singles and then selling them.

This has been verified as a bug on the WoW forums. The current workaround is to just stay on the merchant tab (the one that is not for buyback) and right-click the items you wish to sell in your bags.
